Sladechild Foundation Charitable Trust

Combined Federal Campaign  #10157

CFC LogoThe SladeChild Foundation offers federal employees the opportunity, through the CFC, to reach out to some of the most destitute children in the world, and be assured that every penny that we receive from you through the CFC will be directed solely for the benefit of the children.

The SladeChild Foundation has participated in the Combined Federal Campaign since 1985 as an "Unaffiliated National Organization". Support from federal employees through the CFC is critical to our success in bringing these children the five essentials of life. Over these twelve years we have never taken one penny from the generous federal employee contributions to pay for any administrative or fund-raising expense. Please understand, however, that your federal agency will take a deduction from your donation, in order to pay for the expenses of the CFC campaign in your agency. However, of the amount sent to us, we do not deduct anything more from your donation.

For Example: Let's say you decide to donate $100.00 to us by checking #10157 on the CFC card. This $100.00 is then deducted from your paycheck, and sent to your agency's CFC office. In order to pay for your agency's CFC campaign, the CFC office deducts (for example) $15.00, and then sends to the SladeChild Foundation the balance of $85.00. We, in turn, do not deduct anything further. Rather, we deposit the entire $85.00 into our general trust fund. It then goes entirely to provide food, clothing, shelter, education and medical care for the children at the relief projects we support. Gardening at St. Bosco

If you would like not to have any CFC overhead deducted from your donation, you can send the donation directly to us. In that way, no CFC campaign deductions will be taken out, and the full $100.00 of the example above will go to the children. You can also target your donation to any specific project, country, or any of our different funds.

We are a 100% charity. The SladeChild Foundation's administrative expenses are paid in full by the trustees, plus the interest from our trust accounts. Nonetheless, in the federal CFC guide, after each charity's 25 word description, there is a parentheses with the amount of donations deducted to pay for administrative expenses. In the case of the SladeChild Foundation: The amount in the parentheses (6.8%) is paid entirely by the trustees and trust account interest -- not by your donation. Thanks for your Support!
