The SladeChild Foundation offers several funds to help donors target their generous gifts, assuring them that 100% of their donation will go exactly where they intend. The following is a brief description of the specific trust funds managed by the SladeChild Foundation.
Children’s Relief Fund: This is our general fund from which our monthly grants are made to the many children relief projects we support. Unless otherwise directed, 100% of a donor’s contribution will be deposited in this fund. This fund cannot be used to pay for any administrative expenses.
Administrative Fund: All (100%) administrative expenses are paid out of this fund. Each month, each Trustee contributes $50.00 to the Administrative Fund. Plus, all interest earned on our Children’s Relief Fund and our Endowment Fund is deposited into this account. (For those donors who have contributed to this fund to help us cover our administrative expenses, Thank You!).
Endowment Fund: The Endowment Fund serves as a perpetual financial base for the SladeChild Foundation . Interest from the Endowment Fund is applied towards covering administrative expenses. The principal of the Endowment Fund may only be withdrawn upon formal action of the Board of Trustees, and only for purposes of furthering the charitable work of the SladeChild Foundation .
Tom Landers Fund For Hearing Impaired Children: Professor Tom Landers served as a Dean at Gallaudet University in Washington, D.C. Upon his death from cancer in 1993, Dean Landers left a bequest to the SladeChild Foundation in his will, establishing a scholarship fund for hearing impaired children graduating from projects supported by the SladeChild Foundation who desire to continue on with higher education.
Emergency Fund: The Emergency Fund covers medical and other emergency expenses whenever a child at any of the projects we support is hurt or injured.
